“That is very worrying,” says Willemijn Pomper of Veilig Verkeer Nederland. “We always have the ambition to zero traffic victims in 2050. This does not contribute to that.” She points out that traffic is getting busier, with growing speed differences due to, for example, electric bicycles. “In Amsterdam there is everything mixing together. So we ask, take each other into account.”
