Jasmi Joensuu has a thousand bucks to set off the Sprint Skiing World Cup victory in a pocket on Wednesday in the Tallinn Song Fool’s race.
- Jasmmi Joensuu is very close to the Sprint World Cup victory.
- Only Nadine Fähndrich of Switzerland can pass the Finnish overall points.
Jasmmi Joensuu leads the cross -country ski sprinting convention with 148 points to Jonna Sundling, Sweden.
There are only two sprint races left: Wednesday in Tallinn and this coming weekend in Lahti. Joensuu has the opportunity to solve the World Cup victory as early as Wednesday on the singing stage.
– The spirit of the game is that from a good starting point I get to the Tallinn race. After all, it’s an insane starting point. My performance is enough, you don’t have to do super -deeds, Joensuu tells Iltalehti.
– If I had said at Ruka at the beginning of the season that I was leading a sprint cup at this point, I would have laughed at myself. To this end, this is done. I am confident that Klaara is doing the job, says a 28-year-old skier.
So far, Virpi Sarasvuo was the only Finnish winner of the Sprint Cup in 2006-2007.
Sundling outdoors
28-year-old Jasmmi Joensuu is ready to acknowledge the Sprint Skiing World Cup. The Tallinn race has a joint lubrication, and every athlete was allowed to leave two pairs of skis on Tuesday. Pasi Liesimaa
The unfortunate news dropped from Sweden on Monday, as Sundling in second points is cold and does not compete in Tallinn.
– Too bad in itself. Jonna would have been a tough winner in the race. I would like to compete in such a way that everyone is involved. But that too is a kind of success that stay healthy throughout the season.
Joensuu has dodged the worst dicks during the season. There is one reason why a woman is at the forefront of a fast -paced sprint cup and close to profit.
– I have practically been healthy throughout the season. I guess I could rest at the right points. Nor is I very hysterical about the disease, I haven’t been too stressful with it.
Victory in a jump
Jonna Sundling is not in the Tallinn race. This way the Swedish cannot win the Sprint Skiing World Cup. Pasi Liesimaa
Sundling can no longer get past Joensuu at the sprinting club, even if he wins both the qualifying and the race in Lahti – if he is healed at Salpausselkä at all.
Still, the victory of Joensuu is not quite sure yet. Nadine Fähndrich, third in the third place, has 157 points less than in Joensuu.
A Swiss can still be number one, but only in theory.
Even if Fähndrich would win the remaining qualifiers and races, Joensuu would only have to win 72 points.
The qualifying winner will receive 14 MC points and points will be awarded to the ten fastest qualifiers. Even if Joensuu would not be in the top ten in either qualifier, the final place in Tallinn would in all cases guarantee a overall win for the Finn.
The task cannot be considered particularly difficult for Joensuu at the moment, as the Finn has been in the World Cup sprints this season seven times among the top ten. The best investment is 2 and the weakest 13th.
Preparation
Joensuu missed Holmenkollen’s classic race last weekend.
-After the World Cup, I stayed home to rest and practice. I didn’t go to the Oslo race weekend, but aimed at two important remaining races.
– The workouts have gone well, but some kind of spiritual fatigue has been on. That’s why I didn’t go to Oslo. A little fatigue at this point is quite normal.
– This little pause did good. I’ve kept my fitness, I haven’t done hard workouts anymore. That condition no longer disappears from there.
Niskanen stake
In addition to Joensuu, Jasmin Kähärä, Joensuu, in Tallinn, is involved in Tallinn, Anni LindroosKatri Lylynperä, Kerttu Niskanen and Amanda island.
Kerttu Niskanen is fourth in the World Cup overall and, of course, seeks more points for Tallinn’s evening. It would be possible for Niskanen to rise at least third past Astrid Slind in Norway. The difference between the duo in the overall cup is five points.
Improving the investment and raising third would mean an additional prize money for Niskanen.
Jessie Diggins has already secured the overall win of the women’s World Cup. Joensuu is ranked ten in the overall race.
