Starting today, new phones, headphones, tablets and other devices must have a USB-C charging port. The background is the European Union’s new radio equipment directive, according to which consumers must be able to charge their small and medium-sized electronic devices with the same charger. In addition to this, in the future, the consumer has the right to purchase the device also without a charger, in which case he can use his existing charger to charge the new device.
