Now that even a Russian oil rig has been hit: why is the Ukrainian ‘war on oil’ so important?

For the first time ever, Ukrainian drones have now successfully sabotaged a Russian oil rig. Ukraine is thus significantly stepping up its attack on enemy oil supplies. At least 77 Russian oil depots, refineries and tankers were hit from August to November. “This has become a crucial weapon for Ukraine,” says ex-colonel and military expert Roger Housen.
