Suvi Minkkinen finished fifth in the biathlon joint start race in Annecy, France.

Minkkinen started the race strongly. He led the race after the first berth. Minkkinen came in eighth place in the second lying position shooting, only a couple of seconds behind the leader. After the second zero performance, the Finn started on the track in sixth place.

In the third shooting position, Minkkinen shot one shot, but despite that, he still headed to the ski run as the sixth part of the top bunch.

The rain turned into heavy sleet as the race progressed in subzero temperatures. The last shooting location was reached with gusty wind and heavy sleet creating a great challenge for shooting.

Like almost everyone else, Minkkinen shot one bomb. Even for the last ski run, Minkkinen still started in sixth place. On the last ski run, Minkkinen grabbed one scalp, rising to fifth place.

Germany skied to win the race Selina Grotian.
