On September 12, there were 744 confirmed cases of monkey pox in our country. This concerns 392 cases in Flanders (53 percent), 266 cases in Brussels (36 percent) and 86 cases in Wallonia (11 percent). This is evident from figures from health institute Sciensano. The risk to the general population remains low.
