Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal continue without losing a set at the French Open

Defending champion Novak Djokovic has reached the round of 16 of the French Open without losing a set.

The Serbian world number one defeated the Slovenian Aljaz Bedene in his third round match on Friday 6: 3, 6: 3, 6: 2 and thus presented.

The 13-time tournament winner Rafael Nadal followed suit a little later with a 6: 3, 6: 2, 6: 4 win against the Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp. On Friday evening, shooting star Carlos Alcaraz from the closest circle of title contenders is still required.

Before Djokovic could meet Nadal in the quarterfinals, he is expected to face Argentinian Diego Schwartzman.

The athlete from Belgrade is in top form again after a long break from playing in Paris in the spring.

In preparation, the 35-year-old had also registered his claims for the classic clay court in Paris with his triumph at the Masters in Rome, where he would catch up with Nadal if he was successful after Grand Slam titles.

Nadal, who is now dealing with Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, has had 21 major wins since his coup at the Australian Open – one more than Djokovic and Roger Federer.
