Union threatens a bitter loss. Storm boss Sheraldo Becker (27) is said to be on the shopping list of England’s first division club Nottingham Forest, according to information from Sky.

The well-funded Premier League promoter wants to sign the Dutchman (7 Bundesliga goals this season) in winter.

England is a footballing dream destination for Becker. The lightning-fast attacker would also earn significantly more there. Buddy Taiwo Awoniyi (25) should have calculated that for him long ago. The Nigerian switched from Union to Nottingham in July for around 20 million euros.

Financially it would be worth selling Becker for the Iron Company. Union is waving a big fee because Becker’s contract runs until at least 2024. The deal should be worth 15 to 20 million euros.

But the Iron Ones would need replacements immediately. Especially since Becker’s fellow striker Jordan Siebatcheu (26) has been in crisis for months. Siebatcheu last scored in the Bundesliga against Wolfsburg in a 2-0 home win in August. Should Becker go, there may even be a need for two attackers.

Becker himself must weigh carefully. At Union, after the departures of Max Kruse (34, to Wolfsburg in January 2022) and Awoniyi, he developed into a star and regular player. In Nottingham he would have to prevail again.
