Norway’s sovereign wealth fund has placed Polish energy group PKN Orlen on a penal bench. According to the investment fund of 1.2 trillion euros, Orlen is endangering press freedom in Poland by taking over the news site and newspaper publisher Polska Press. The Polish state has a majority interest in Orlen and could thus exert too much influence on the reporting at Polska Press.
