Germany hopes for further World Cup medals on Thursday. But the weather challenges the patience of the DSV stars.

The organizers of the Nordic Ski World Cup in Trondheim had to react to the weather. Due to strong gusts during the night and on Thursday morning, several competitions were postponed to the rear.

The focus is on two medal opportunities for the German team. Especially in ski jumping, hopes for the quartet, which fights for a podium placement in the team competition on the Großschanze. The start was moved from 4:20 p.m. to 5:05 p.m. (live at T-Online). After a mixed season, Andreas Wellinger and his teammates want to get a medal. In the past 20 years, Germany has only won the title in this discipline in 2019 and 2021.

A medal in the Nordic combination seems almost safe. Led by Olympic champion Vinzenz Geiger, the German team goes into the shifted competition: ski jumping now begins at 12.30 p.m. (instead of 11:00 a.m.), the cross -country skiing was relocated to 4 p.m. to 4 p.m. Germany wants to challenge serial champions Norway with Jarl Magnus Riiber in the fight for gold.

The German cross-country skiing relay has little chance of a medal. The team of national coach Peter Schlickenrieder competes in the 4×7.5 kilometer relay, which now begins at 2 p.m. (instead of 12.30 p.m.).

Due to the weather forecasts, spectators were asked to come to the Granåsen Skienter shortly before the competitions and to stay at home as possible during the storm.
