Nordic combined live: Seefeld HS 109, 12.5 km in the live ticker | 29.01.2023 11:20

11:31

Antoine Gerard (FRA)

Stable but quite inefficient flight system. We continue to wait for the really good widths.

11:30

Jared Shumate (USA)

None of the athletes has yet managed to let the flight glide on the slope. Jared Shumate’s armwork also looks a little wild.

11:29

Waltteri Karhumaa (FIN)

97 meters with a slightly lighter tailwind, so he is third. His Finnish teammate Niitykoski has just been disqualified because of his suit.

11:29

Tomas Portyk (CZE)

The second Czech, on the other hand, doesn’t really get going and has to say goodbye to a top position.

11:28

Ondrej Pazout (CZE)

Then he gets a little lopsided, joins behind Sora Yachi on the two.

11:27

Gael Blondeau (FRA)

And so Gael Blondeau walks off the Bakken and joins in on three.

11:27

Manuel Einkemmer (AUT)

The second Austrian does not compete for reasons that are still unknown!

11:26

Florian Kolb (AUT)

It’s the turn of two local heroes. With open skis, Florian Kolb hopes for an updraft on the slope, but it just doesn’t come. Only 92 meters.

11:25

Yuya Yamamoto (JPN)

Yamamoto, on the other hand, lacks speed again and so he lines up behind his teammate.

11:24

Sora Yachi (JPN)

Two Japanese stand above. The first is Sora Yachi, who makes it out of the hatch at higher speed and thus takes the lead at 99 meters!

11:23

Gasper Brecl (SLO)

Brecl – not just a pastry, but also a well-known name in skiing. But he is also in the lower 90s.

11:22

Otto Niitykoski (FIN)

When the Finn jumps, the wind decreases a little, which is also noticeable in one and a half meters more. However, Kimura retains the lead.

11:21

Kodai Kimura (JPN)

The same width. It becomes clear early on that the tailwind is enormous.

11:20

Domenico Mariotti (ITA)

The jumping competition is already beginning, with the Italian Domenico Mariotti leading the way. He goes 92 meters, but then still has a slight smile left.

11:14

The sound bites

“I’m happy that we’re both on the podium together. We’re good buddies. That’s unbelievable,” Geiger said happily after the German double podium yesterday. Of course, Johannes Lamperter was even more emotional: “A great day, I’m speechless. It hurts to run four laps alone. This victory means a lot to me. I’m happy and I’ll enjoy it for once”. For the native Tyrolean it was the first victory on home soil.

11:10

Austrian leads in front of two Germans

After his second place on Friday and his victory on Saturday, Johannes Lamperter is in pole position in the race for the triple success. His lead over Vinzenz Geiger was 20 seconds, Julian Schmid was just behind. On the other hand, the competition was bitter for the previous World Cup leader Jarl Magnus Riiber, who was disqualified with a hole in his suit and whose further participation in the World Cup is in the balance due to health problems.

10:56

At 11:20 a.m. the athletes leave the Bakken!

The jumping is then followed at 1.25 p.m. by the running competition, which at 12.5 kilometers is the longest this weekend. A triple competition is taking place in Seefeld for the tenth time – on Friday 7.5 kilometers were run after the jumping, yesterday the Gundersen over 10 kilometers. The points will be taken into the next competition day and converted into a lead. Whoever crosses the finish line first in the final run today can call themselves a triple winner.
