Riiber wins sample

Jarl Magnus Riiber was able to win the trial round with a jump of 100.5 meters. Ryota Yamamoto finished behind in second place. Laurent Muhlethaler from France was third ahead of Christian Deuschl. Most of the DSV combined athletes decided not to take part in the rehearsal.

Who are the favourites?

Jarl Magnus Riiber is certainly the big favourite. In the fight for the podium, however, Ryota Yamamoto must also be taken into account, who has improved in cross-country skiing and is one of the best athletes on the hill anyway. Jens Lurås Oftebro should also have big plans in front of his home crowd. Then there are the French, who started the season extremely well. Due to the smaller hill, a tight competition is expected in Lillehammer on Saturday.

German for Greiderer

The Austrian team also changed for the first World Cup weekend. Lukas Greiderer does not compete and instead inserts a training block at home. Christian Deuschl has replaced him in the ÖSV squad. He already showed in the training sessions, but is also considered to be a stronger jumper and a weaker cross-country skier. Mario Seidl, Martin Fritz, Franz-Josef Rehrl, Stefan Rettenegger, Philipp Orter as well as Thomas Rettenegger and Johannes Lamparter complete the team of eight.

Schmid in an unusual role

After his strong start in Ruka, Julian Schmid from the German team comes to Lillehammer as the World Cup leader. He is seven points ahead of Jarl Magnus Riiber, who is the clear favorite on his home hill this weekend. But things didn’t go too badly for Schmid in training either, and he was able to impress with good jumps. Back in the World Cup is Fabian Riessle, who skipped Ruka. Tristan Sommerfeldt joins the team next to him. Vinzenz Geiger, Johannes Rydzek, Manuel Faißt, Eric Frenzel and Jakob Lange complete the large squad of DSV combined athletes.

Lillehammer calls

After the competitions in Ruka, the men are visiting Lillehammer this weekend. Since you complete the first few days at the same time as the women, the competition starts on the normal hill. On Sunday, the combined athletes will move to the large hill, where another World Cup is scheduled.

Warm welcome

Hello and welcome to Lillehammer Men’s Nordic Combined! The live ticker starts in good time before the start of the competition.
