Nordic combination: Weber and Schmid have a chance on the podium after jumping

As of: December 3rd, 2023 10:10 a.m

Terence Weber is the best German after jumping in Lillehammer and – like Julian Schmid – has a good chance of making it to the podium. The exceptional combiner Jarl Magnus Riiber is in the lead.

The Norwegian dominator of the last few years once again underlined his exceptional position: combiner Jarl Magnus Riiber goes into the final 10 km run as the leader after his jump of 141 meters. The Austrian Johannes Lamparter is second, 55 seconds behind the Norwegian. Ryota Yamamoto is third, missing a minute.

DSV hopes rest on Weber and Schmid

Terence Weber showed a good jump and sailed to 136.5 meters. Once again the 27-year-old is the best German on the hill (+1:19). Julian Schmid also showed a good performance – he landed at 130 meters and is therefore in a good starting position for the fight for the podium (+1:37). With Weber and Schmid in sixth and eighth place, you definitely have two starters who could run right to the front.

Manuel Faißt and Johannes Rydzek, in 19th and 20th place, are already a long way behind the podium. Wendelin Thannheimer starts the cross-country skiing in 25th place. Vinzenz Geiger only achieved 32nd place. Fabian Rießle is also third from last.
