At the water surface above the smaller of the two leaks in Sweden’s exclusive economic zone, the gas only escapes over an area with a diameter of a good 20 meters, the Swedish coast guard said on Friday evening. The previously constant outflow over the larger of these two leaks has also reduced to an area about 600 meters in diameter. Based on the dialogue with the operators, the diagnosis is that the gas leak may stop on Sunday.

Of the four leaks, two are in the Swedish and two in the Danish economic zone. As the two countries previously wrote in a letter to the UN Security Council had reported, the leaks on the Swedish side on Thursday had a radius of around 900 and 200 meters and on the Danish side of around 555 and 680 meters.
