Not Seattle is the name of the project by Berliner Katharina Kollmann, who as a songwriter, singer and guitarist has been showing what is possible when it comes to stubborn melodies and clever lyrics since “Kommistenlibido” (2022).
Their songs are rarely peaceful. But instead of wallowing in self-pity, Non-Seattle prefers to take it with humor. Her everyday observations are as merciless as they are original.
In her life, Kollmann is a songwriter, choir director and also the founder of a collective housing project. Her music cleverly oscillates between folk and indie rock, although she can easily mediate between East German songwriting and the Pixies.
With her “Große Liebe” tour in November, Nichtseattle proves that this can become a wondrous live mix together with her five-piece band. Presented by ROLLING STONE.
