The winner of the oeuvre prize, which is determined by the jury, will receive an art object and an amount of €10,000. The prize is named after the feminist Joke Smit (1933–1981).

The award ceremony has been postponed to this spring due to the corona restrictions.

Nominees for oeuvre prize

Agnes Samuel has spent years promoting women of color to enter politics. She was also active in the National Federation of Surinamese Women’s Affairs. She was nominated by the jury because she managed to involve this group of women in politics.
