FC Bayern releases a top talent in the 2nd Bundesliga. In return, the club takes a player back from a loan to Säbener Straße.

One day after the end of the transfer period, FC Bayern has to report a departure. Noah Aseko leaves the German record champion towards the 2nd Bundesliga. The 19-year-old midfielder joins Hannover 96 for a loan for one and a half years. As the promotion candidate from Lower Saxony announced, the club has negotiated a purchase option for the German U20 international.

“I am really looking forward to taking my next steps in professional football at Hannover 96. It is an ambitious club in which young players have recently received and used their chance,” said Aseko in the Hanoverian announcement. “When the option arose, it was clear to me that I would definitely like to notice this option. Now I’m looking forward to getting to know the team. I have great desire – it can start.”

Aseko switched from Hertha BSC to Munich in 2022. Since then, he has never been used in the first team of Bavaria, but has trained permanently with the professionals. This season he ran 13 times for the U23 in the regional league Bavaria, scoring two goals. He was also used several times in the UEFA Youth League.

In its club announcement, FC Bayern said that the contract with Aseko had extended the loan in the run -up to 2028. Jochen Sauer, director of young talent with the Munich team, emphasized that the player had “developed very well in our young teams since moving to Munich and was recently convincing regularly in training the professionals.” At 96 he could take further steps at a high level. FC Bayern will “continue to accompany him closely.”

Meanwhile, Gabriel Vidović is starting the way back to Munich. The offensive player had been loaned to Mainz 05 by Bayern at the beginning of the season. But he hardly got there, was only allowed to play in the Bundesliga for three minutes. Too little for Vidović, whose contract with the Bundesliga league leaders will still run until 2026.

The loan of the 21-year-old Croatian, which was intended until next summer, will therefore end prematurely. Bavaria’s sports director Christoph Freund said that they had been made together with the player after the player was “unfortunately not for the hoped -for playing time in the first half of the season in Mainz”.
