The Bruges council chamber has placed Noël D, a 75-year-old man from Zerkegem under electronic supervision for the murder of his 74-year-old wife. The file will soon be referred to the Court of Assisen. The facts of tonight in Dentergem of course have nothing to do with this, but in both cases it is about older men, who beat their wife with a hammer a while ago. In both cases they were also allowed/allowed to leave prison because their mental state was/has deteriorated strongly.
