First reaction after the criticism

In a new TikTok video, the actor reacted for the first time to the shitstorm that rolled in after his post about him. He began the 107-second statement by briefly mentioning “what was going on online.” He didn’t mention exactly what he was talking about. But it would be clear to him that his “thoughts and beliefs have been misinterpreted and do not even come close to agreeing with” what he personally believes.

He further said he hoped for the return of the hostages kidnapped on October 7, 2023, who are still in Gaza, and for “an end to the loss of innocent lives in Palestine.” Schnapp only wants peace and security for all innocent people affected by this conflict.

His wish is to “see how these two groups live together harmoniously in this region.” He had “many open conversations with friends of Palestinian origin.” These were very important to him and the actor learned a lot from them.

He also said in the clip: “Anyone who has even an ounce of humanity would hope for an end to hostilities on both sides.” Finally, he appealed for more “understanding and compassion.”
