No stunt for Lieke Klaver in the World Cup indoor final 400 meters

Runner Lieke Klaver finished sixth in the 400 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade. From lane one, she was behind the facts from the first meters in the final. Compatriot Femke Bol rushed to silver.

Klaver from Enkhuizen relies on her good start. In the final, however, she never made it to the front, as she had to run the tightest corner of the field from lane one. The Noord-Hollandse crossed the line in sixth place after 52.67 seconds.

“You can say: last in the final. But you can also say: sixth in the world. I’m just very happy with this,” Klaver responds to NOS . World champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo from Bahamas raced to a time of 50.31. She clearly outperformed Bol (50.57). The bronze went to Jamaican Stephenie Ann McPherson.
