The organization of the TT marathon opens a waiting list for runners who have seized in addition to a starting ticket. The thousand available places are all forgiven.
The marathon is organized in honor of the 100th anniversary of the TT. Initially the organization focused on 300 participants, but that number was reached within a few days. The extra 700 starting tickets that were then made available also went over the counter like hot sandwiches.
Nevertheless, the organization has now deliberately chosen not to further increase the number of participants. “Quality and safety of the event are the most important for us. It can get hot in June, we also experienced that at earlier editions of the TT City Run. For a festive event where all participants are safely crossing the finish line, there are therefore tightened competition rules and a limit of 1,000 runners for the TT Marathon, “says project leader Sharon Rodenburg.
It is also intended that you have traveled the total marathon distance within the five -hour limit. The organization expects that some starting tickets will be released in the coming period. They then go to runners on the waiting list.
