We have been slipping off the road for mornings, but there are no real ice days. Such a day only officially occurs if the mercury does not rise above zero for a whole day at the measuring station in De Bilt. And that has not been the case for 758 days in a row: a record. Moreover, there is little chance that we will have an ice day in the short term. Nevertheless, skating fun on artificial ice rinks beckons later this week.
