No extra tickets for FC Volendam fans for a promotional game against FC Den Bosch

People from Volendam who still want to go to the away game against FC Den Bosch on Friday are out of luck. There will be no extra tickets on top of the five hundred tickets already sold for the branch.

With a win in Den Bosch, FC Volendam will be promoted from the first division to the Eredivisie after thirteen years. The branch sold out within a few minutes last week, after which it was checked whether more tickets could be made available.

FC Den Bosch has considered the entire North side for supporters of the New Orange to reserve. This proved to be impossible in the short term for organizational and practical reasons. “There is no animosity between Den Bosch and Volendam,” said FC Den Bosch spokesperson Ester Bal. “We would have liked to have accommodated Volendam, but that is not feasible due to the safety measures.”

The Brabant club stopped single ticket sales on Sunday when there were signals that there was a run on tickets from Volendam and the surrounding area. Only fans from the Den Bosch region can therefore still buy a ticket. The club warns season ticket holders who sell their seat in the stadium to FC Volendam supporters.

Dressing room stormers

FC Volendam has been in the news twice in the past weeks because some supporters had misbehaved. Two men who after the 1-2 home defeat against TOP Oss at FC Volendam in the dressing room came to get a story, according to business director Richard de Weijze of FC Volendam will receive ‘an appropriate punishment’. He does not want to reveal exactly what that means. “We have agreed that this will be resolved internally. They showed their good side in a conversation and expressed regret.”

Earlier, some fans misbehaved in the away match against FC Emmen. Two complete sanitary blocks were destroyed there† Emmen announced that it would send the invoice to FC Volendam for repairs, but De Weijze did not receive that invoice.
