No contact yet with fifteen Belgians after earthquake Turkey and Syria | Abroad

Belgians can indicate that they are staying abroad via the Travelers Online platform of Foreign Affairs. About 230 Belgians had done this for Turkey, about fifty for Syria.

The authorities have not yet been able to make contact with fifteen of them – fourteen in Turkey and one in Syria. On Friday there were still 24.

At the moment, no Belgians have been reported among the victims. Repatriations are also not an issue.
There is an active attempt to make contact with the fifteen Belgians. In Belgium, the local police are trying to contact family members.

Foreign Affairs asks Belgians who are not registered, or who are unable to contact a loved one in the disaster area, to contact them on 02/501 81 11.
