The cause of the serious fire in the center of Bruges on Monday afternoon is not yet clear. The public prosecutor’s office has appointed a fire expert to investigate. The fire was located just a few hundred meters from the stage of De Warmste Week. “The damage to the building is enormous. The attic collapsed due to the fire,” says mayor Dirk De fauw (CD&V).
