NMBS promises apologies for involvement in deportations during the Second World War

The NMBS railway company will officially apologize for its involvement in the deportations of thousands of people to Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War. The decision follows the recommendations of the ‘Group of Wise’, a committee of experts that advised the federal government on how Belgium should deal with its warfare.
