Nirvana wants to have baby’s lawsuit dismissed on album cover | gossip

Elden claims that he has suffered from being naked on the cover of Nevermind his entire life. He therefore demands hefty compensation from Nirvana.

Band members Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl, who formed Nirvana with frontman Kurt Cobain, who died in 1994, had previously indicated that they did not take the matter so seriously. There has been no official response to the charges so far.

Limitation Period

Lawyers call the charge nonsensical and also say that the statute of limitations has expired. Elden, they said, would only have a case if he had only discovered in the past ten years that he is the baby on the album cover, but he would have known it for much longer. “He knew much earlier than in 2011, as he claims, that he (and not anyone else) is the baby in the picture.”

The lawyers also say that Elden himself has enjoyed his fame as a ‘Nirvana baby’ for decades. For example, it is cited as an example that he has copied the cover several times, including in 2016, and that he has a Nevermind tattoo. Elden has not yet commented on the band’s desire to have the case dismissed.
