NoINO
Type: comedy drama ✦✦✦
Direction: Pauline Loques. With Théodore Pellerin, William Lebghil, Jeanne Balibar
Nino doesn’t understand, he questions himself: “I have no symptoms” he repeats. The outcome of the clinical examination he receives on the eve of his 29th birthday changes his perception of the worldof a daily life the same as that of many peers, made up of friends, parties, an unexciting job, the relationship with an elusive yet affectionate mother.
Pauline Loquès, César for best first film (like the protagonist Théodore Pellerin) joins his disoriented hero in wandering through the streets of Paris (making us perceive all the vibrations of his incessant movement) during the weekend that separates him from the first therapy.
Théodore Pellerin and William Lebghil in “Nino”
With an almost lunar grace, Nino goes through the most difficult night and faces (in a surprising “sex scene”) the decision that will determine his future. Switched to Critics’ Week at the last Cannes Film Festival.
