Ex-captain of the Finnish national football team Niklas Moisander39, ends his handsome professional career. The man played the last few years in Malmö.
– I am grateful to my own parents, my brother and all those close to me who have supported me during the journey. My wife and daughter have supported me a lot. Without my loved ones, I wouldn’t have achieved such a career, says Moisander On the website of the Swedish Football Association.
The defender, who played 62 national matches, won three championships in both Holland and Sweden in his career. However, the national team was the number one thing for him.
– It was the greatest honor in my career to play for the Finnish national team and to be captain of the Huuhkajie. It was something incredible and I could never have imagined it as a little boy.
In his long career, Moisander played for his parent club TPS, Ajax, Zwolle, Sampdoria, Werder Bremen and Malmö.
