Entrepreneur and apartment salesperson Niina Kuhta, 43, has experienced a drastic transformation in less than a year. Now, however, he is at a point that requires new measures.
Niina Kuhta43, underwent gastric bypass surgery eleven months ago. He underwent sleeve surgery in Estonia as an observation operation, which has completely changed the entrepreneur’s life. Kuhta now says that he can’t think of anything bad to say about the operation.
There was not much pain and the experience was pleasant.
– I am grateful that the feeling of hunger disappears in a different way than before. I don’t feel that I’m missing out on anything, he says to Iltalehte.
Immediately after the operation, he ate purees, but now Kuhta eats the same food as the others. The approaching Christmas holidays don’t stress him out, because he can enjoy the treats. He likes gray salmon and some boxes the most.
– You can eat chocolate and ice cream even when cut. It depends on that amount. Now I only invest in the best chocolates. The portions are just smaller.
From his heaviest days, Kuhta has now lost almost 40 kilos. After the operation, he has lost twenty kilos.

He says that he has gained a lot more energy from his weight loss, and the back pains that plagued him for a long time are history. With new energy, Kuhta has also applied to become an apartment salesman.
– Without the surgery, I would never have been able to start such a thing. I had such terrible back pain that I couldn’t do everyday chores. When I took the trash out to the trash, I felt like I had already done the day’s work, he says.
Before the change, Kuhta’s blood pressure was high. Thanks to the weight loss, it has decreased to a normal level and night sleep has improved. The tingling in restless legs has also eased a little.
– I have got my life back. It got to the point where I started to go home. I didn’t even want to move when it was so painful. My body became a problem, and I didn’t want to go anywhere to show off either, says Kuhta.

The mirror image makes me think
Niina Kuhta admits that the head has not completely kept up with the change. He gets compliments about losing weight, but he doesn’t notice the change himself.
– I still feel like I’m a really fat person. I do notice that I have now started to like certain clothes that didn’t fit before. And that certain outfits, for example, now fit better and look better.
Being overweight has been a difficult thing in Kuhta’s life for over twenty years. The lost pounds came back again and again. Kuhta has previously participated, among other things The biggest loser program, where he managed to lose 23 kilos.

When Kuhda is asked how he has dealt with his distorted body image, he has a quick answer.
– I don’t know what I would do with myself. I don’t know how I could change this mindset, he says directly.
– When people comment on how I’ve changed, I think they’re just being nice.
Who believes that he is not alone with this matter. There is so much more to life after gastric bypass surgery and weight loss than just an external change.
The entrepreneur says that he has noticed that some of the clothes have become too small.
– The weight loss has now leveled off, and I now have to lose weight to reach my goals, he says.
The diet is currently underway.
– I want another ten kilos off.

– Eliminate fat from eating and refine your diet to its peak. I go to the gym, he replies.
Kuhta says that he is an office worker through and through, for whom moving is the hardest part of the job. Daily exercise comes through the runs of Lum and Pigu, two Coton de Tuléar dogs.
