Nicolas Seiwald extends at RB Salzburg – “Development is madness”

Rumors about Leipzig, Bayer & Co.

Red Bull Salzburg have extended Nicolas Seiwald’s contract by two more years until June 2026. The top Austrian club announced that they had agreed on this with “one of the outstanding players of the past season (…) in good and harmonious discussions”.

The 21-year-old midfielder Seiwald, with a market value of 20 million euros the second most valuable team member after Mohamed Camara (22), has been linked to several German Bundesliga clubs in the TM rumor mill: RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, VfL Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund.

RB Salzburg: sports director Freund impressed by Seiwald’s performance

“The development of Nici in the last few years is really amazing. Especially in the last season, he put in incredible performances, even performing extremely consistently in the Champions League and in the national team at the highest level. Nici is a Salzburg or Kuchler boy and has gone through all the youth teams in our club since the U9,” explained Salzburg’s sports director Christoph Freund.
