Nico Uppelschoten on PVV list for House of Representatives elections

PVV member Nico Uppelschoten (79) is eligible in the upcoming House of Representatives elections in November. The experienced politician from Eelde is 39th on the list.

Uppelschoten is currently party leader of the PVV in the Drenthe Parliament, where he has been in opposition since 2011. At the last State elections, he was party leader of PVV Drenthe for the third time.

The PVV’s first ten candidates include three newcomers, party leader Geert Wilders announced today. For example, the chairman of the faction in the Senate, Marjolijn Faber, is transferring to the House of Representatives. She is in seventh place.

The highest newcomer is self-employed entrepreneur Rachel van Meetelen from Bergen op Zoom. She got third place. There is also a newcomer in sixth place: René Claassen. He is currently leader of the PVV in the Provincial Council of Limburg.

A number of veterans do not return. Harm Beertema withdrew as a candidate because he thought his sixteenth place was too low. Earlier, Sietse Fritsma and Machiel de Graaf announced that they did not want to return to Parliament. In August, Lilian Helder transferred to the BBB.

The chance that Uppelschoten will enter the House is minimal. In the latest poll by I&O Research, the PVV has 14 seats. The House of Representatives faction currently consists of 16 seats.
