The leaves fall from the trees, outside it is rainy and fresh. Perfect weather to crawl inside a blanket, with a good book of course! This is also the perfect time to read your children: Library Zoetermeer has an agenda full of fun youth activities!
From Wednesday 1 to Saturday 12 October, the country is again dominated by the Children’s Book Week, with the theme Full of adventure. Natural Library Zoetermeer Extensive about this. But even after the book week there is plenty to experience in the library, for readers of all ages. With the fun youth program, your little bookworm never has to be bored.
One big party
On Sunday, October 5, you want to be with your kids at Library Forum! There is the Children’s Book Week Festival with an incredibly fun program. Children look their eyes to the music theater of Jeritza Toney or start tinkering with Kunstgarage Franx. They can have a glitter tato box put or take a nice photo in the photo corner. There is also a reading corner where they can read their library fines. Book returned too late? The longer you read, the smaller your fine will be!
The Children’s Book Week is not complete without children’s book writers. Gerard van Gemert comes by, you know him from youth sports books like The hockey twin and Football Bengels. He gives a fun workshop completely free, where children come up with their own character! Maranke Rinck and Martijn van der Linden are also present, the writers of the Bob popcorn books. Let your book sign, ask all your questions and enjoy a handful of popcorn during their Bob Popcorn party.

The Children’s Book Week
Up to and including Sunday, October 5 you can participate in adventurous treasure hunts in sign of the Children’s Book Week in the various libraries in Zoetermeer. There is also a prize to be won per location, so don’t forget to report at the counter after finding the solution!
The theme of the Children’s Book Week is full of adventure. But that does not mean that this party is only dedicated to exciting adventures full of adrenaline. During the program part full of adventure in yourself, children can come to the library for a course Mindfulness. Let them completely relax during this special and educational discovery through their own head. You will visit this course on Wednesday 1 October in the forum, Wednesday 8 October in Wijkbibliotheek Rokkeveen and Wednesday 15 October in Wijkbibliotheek Oosterheem.
Book launch of the Twin Dolls
Has your child always wanted to be with a real book launch? Or is your child megafan from the popular Twindolls? Then you want to be at Library Forum on Saturday 18 October! This is the birthday of the Twindolls and the day of their book launch. The twins come to the library to tell about their book: On a pink cloud. With this book they show every child that everything is possible, as long as they believe in themselves.

Horror during the autumn holidays
For those who do not leave this year during the autumn holidays, the library is the ultimate holiday destination! In Zoetermeer, Library Forum is dominated by Halloween, with an excellent exciting horror day on Wednesday 22 October.
Children can participate in a creepy theater workshop, where they learn and perform an exciting play for parents and carers. In addition, they can play fun games, make themselves make up, decorate their own book bag, recover in the reading corner, read fines or hear an exciting story with the book bike.

After the autumn holidays, the library remains a lively place for Zoetermeer children. Every Wednesday afternoon there are fun activities. The reading for toddlers has been on the program for some time, but soon everything will be organized for older children! For example the Surprise spectacle, where you and your child make a Sinterklaassurprise. Or the workshop Words away art backwhere your child is the art of Black-Out Poetry learns: create a poem by scrapping.
