The Edmonton Oilers still have every shot at the next round of the NHL playoffs. Leon Draisaitl had to take a heavy hit with the stick shortly before the end.

The Edmonton Oilers have in the NHL-Playoffs their second home game against the Vegas Golden Knights won and in the semifinals of Western Conference balanced. After the 4:1 it is 2:2 in the best-of-seven series in the North American ice hockey league.

The team around national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl still has every chance of moving into the next round. Game five takes place on Saturday night (CEST) in Las Vegas.

Draisaitl with a scorer point and luck

Draisaitl contributed the template to 3:0 by Mattias Ekholm and now has 18 points in the playoffs.

Vegas pro Alex Pietrangelo caused a stir, swinging his racquet wide with 87 seconds to go and apparently hitting Draisaitl’s arm in a targeted manner. He received a five-minute penalty and faces a suspension. Draisaitl apparently survived the attack unscathed.

“I want to see him banned”, said Oilers pro Connor McDAvid of Pietrangelo. “It couldn’t be more obvious that he wanted to hurt him.”

Toronto shortens against Panthers

The Toronto Maple Leafs previously beat them 2-1 Florida Panthers. In the semi-final series Eastern Conference the team from Canada prevented the end, but is still 1:3 behind after victories. Four achievements are required to progress.
