NHL: Draisaitl on course for the playoff – support gala in Ottawa bankruptcy

Ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl stays on course with his Edmonton Oilers in the race for the playoffs in the North American professional league NHL. The Canadians beat the Dallas Stars 4-1. Draisaitl, who had broken the magic mark of 100 points in the previous game, contributed another assist.

The Cologne native prepared the 3:1 of his congenial strike partner Connor McDavid. In addition to his goal, the Canadian also had an assist and thus continues to lead the scorer list by a large margin over Draisaitl.

Tim Stützle also showed a strong performance. The 21-year-old forward had three assists but his Ottawa Senators lost 4-5 to the Colorado Avalanche.

After three defeats in a row, Lukas Reichel celebrated another win with the Chicago Blackhawks. The 20-year-old scored the 2-1 win at the Nashville Predators to make it 1-0. In a German duel, goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer and the Seattle Kraken won 2-1 after overtime against Nico Sturm’s San Jose Sharks.
