For the first team of ADO’20, relegation from the second division is getting closer every week. Still, despite the 1-3 defeat against AFC, the mood in the canteen among the volunteers is fine. They sweep and scrub the changing rooms, while NH Sport presenter Erik-Jan Brinkman meets ‘the fries queen’ of ADO’20 in the kitchen.
Annie Roozendaal has been working for the football club from Heemskerk for 48 years. Years ago she was chosen as the very first volunteer of the month. Annie is especially famous for her fries. “I’m the only one who makes really tasty fries. They come to me especially for that,” she says, laughing.
She loves working behind the deep fryer on weekends. “I really enjoy what I do. I have known the boys since they were very young and they now have children of their own who come to help me when it is busy.”

Despite the fact that ADO’20 is at the bottom of the second division, coach Roy van der Mije has two internationals at his disposal. Jonathan Richard is currently injured. Teammate Terence Groothusen will play against AFC. The striker finds it special to play for the Aruba national team. “When the national anthem starts, I almost cry.”
Jumping Amsterdam
Furthermore, in this broadcast of NH Sport a report about Jumping Amsterdam. The equestrian event once again attracted tens of thousands of spectators to the Rai over the past four days. Just like the audience, jury chairwoman Mariette Sanders is thoroughly enjoying herself. “Certainly in a freestyle, I am someone who moves along.”
Finally, the NH Sport camera also turned in the Telstar stadium for a closer introduction to general manager Leon Annokkée. The man who succeeded the colorful Pieter de Waard a year and a half ago.
