NFL quarterback Josh Allen worries Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen is THE figurehead of the Buffalo Bills. Ideally, the NFL quarterback should lead his team for at least ten years. His style of play gives those responsible a headache.

Allen is known for running the ball himself on a regular basis. In the current season alone, he carried the egg 124 times for a total of 762 yards – a career high that his superiors don’t necessarily appreciate.

“The only thing I would criticize about him is that he has too many bruises,” Bills general manager Brandon Beane said of Allen at the post-season press conference. There was serious concern in that joke.

Beane addressed his words to the entire squad: “We need to work on taking fewer hits.” However, the focus is on Allen, whom the GM advises to “simply take fewer hits”.

NFL veteran gives everyone useful tips

Allen has conceded 33 sacks this season, according to analysis website Pro Football Focus. In addition, there were another 29 hits, which the 1.96 m tall playcaller put away unscathed.

With each additional run, however, the risk of injury increases for Allen – especially since he doesn’t pay any attention to his body when going it alone and sometimes consciously seeks contact with the opponent.

Case Keenum, the Bills’ backup quarterback, advised Allen at the start of the season to slide at the end of a run. He then gives up the move, but at the same time may no longer be tackled by an opponent.

Allen should take Keenum’s advice to heart. The Texan native has been playing in the NFL for over ten years and has been spared serious injuries during that time. However, it is also true that Keenum mostly only acted as a backup at his stations.
