Knights for Jared Verses! The Youngster of the Los Angeles Rams received praise from one of the best in his field in the NFL.

The long -standing offensive tackle of New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins, Terron Armstead, ended his active career in the NFL a few weeks ago. Now he was asked which potential opponents he would never miss. At the top of his list? Jared Verse, the reigning defensive Rookie of the Year.

Armstead said to “Siriusxm Radio”: “Number one, he was a rookie from the Rams. This young Jared verses? I’m satisfied. I’m fine. I never have to see this man again,” said Armstead. “I agree to never see this young man in my life again. His Bull Rush is different. Age is different. You know that it comes. You are doing yourself against it. He is different. Jared verses is different. One day he will be chosen as a defensive player of the year.

Verse already led the NFL as a rookie with 89 pressures (according to “PFF”), although in the end it only collected 4.5 sacks. And Armstead knows what he is talking about, because both met in a game between the Rams and Dolphins last season. According to “Next Gen Stats”, there were ten direct duels on the field and verses came to 3 pressures and a sack – on average verses only needed 2.97 seconds until the pressure.

Armstead speaks for Hendrickson

Apart from that, Armstead can also do without duels with three superstars: “I already had enough battles with Myles Garrett, so he is also on the list. I went through with that. We danced enough. I’m fine with it,” he said. “And last but not least, it is between Trey Hendrickson and Maxx Crosby, so I have to divide the three of these two crazy young men. I also agree to see these boys again.”

When asked about Hendrickson’s tricky contractual situation, Armstead also had a clear opinion: “I will not say anything bad about Cincinnati, but that’s a no-brainer,” he said. “Trey, this is a no-brainer. You need him in the team. He is one of the best if not the best pass rusher in the game. He is constant, he is relentless. You have to have it. The defense is completely different without him.”

Armstead itself was a third -round pick of the Saints in Draft 2013 and played a total of twelve years in the NFL. After nine years in Nola, he went to the Dolphins as Free Agent in 2022, where he now ended his career. Armstead was five times in Pro Bowl.
