Neymar’s doppelgänger is fooling people at the World Cup

“Neymar” was spotted on the streets of Qatar, but it turned out to be an impostor.

Superstar Neymar is currently with Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar.

Brazil has the world championship in its sights and the players have their eyes firmly set on achieving the goal. So it seemed surprising when the highly popular PSG striker seemed to suddenly appear all by himself in the capital Doha for a walk.

People immediately surrounded the familiar-looking figure and tons of selfies were taken with him. The American television company Fox also published a video of the incident on Twitter.

– Neymar has been seen walking in Doha, Fox Soccer wrote in connection with the video.

However, it soon became clear that it was just Neymar’s double being, who had made football fans mad on a bad day.

The brass player was played by a social media influencer Eigon Oliver, who has done the same trick many times before. He even reportedly has some of the same tattoos as Neymar.

Fox had to admit his mistake after the truth came out.

– Update on the situation: We were scammed. Neymar has a very believable doppelgänger, Fox reports just about half an hour after his original tweet.

What made “Neymar’s” walk in the city a little more believable was that he was injured right away in the opening match of the World Cup tournament against Serbia, and was unable to participate in his team’s training as usual.

However, the striker’s ankle swelled up in the match against Serbia to such a degree that the seemingly effortless step alone should have set off alarm bells about the person’s authenticity.
