Next year 50 compact electric buses in Bruges

Bruges has been asking for public transport that fits better in the historic city center for some time now. The small e-buses that De Lijn will deploy in Bruges next year will be approximately eight to ten meters long and will each be able to take fifty passengers.

The new so-called ‘midi buses’ are a good thing for Bruges, says De fauw: “The current diesel buses are part of the basis of so-called street canyons where exhaust gases remain trapped between our historic facades.
