Next turning point? Confusion about Mbappé offer

Next turn in the transfer poker surrounding Kylian Mbappé: An alleged new offer from his current employer Paris Saint-Germain to the superstar is said to not exist.

At least that’s what transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports. The well-connected Italian journalist explained in his “Daily Briefing” that he had no current information about the Mbappé case and a new PSG offer.

As is well known, the club has been trying for a long time to extend the 24-year-old’s contract, which expires in 2024, in the long term. The ball is still in Mbappé’s court, said Romano, and there are no new developments there. You have to wait and see the coming weeks and months.

The Spanish newspaper “Sport” and “Sky” had previously reported unanimously about a new plan by PSG officials with Mbappé.

This envisages only extending the striker’s contract until 2025, but granting him an exit clause of an unknown amount for the coming summer in order to prevent a free transfer departure.

There was even talk of an agreement that had already been made between Mbappé and PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Kylian Mbappé about to move from PSG to Real Madrid?

Mbappé has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for months. The Royals are now even publicly advertising for the PSG professional.

“I am confident that he will come,” said Real board member José Manuel Otero Lastres recently on the Twitch channel “Remontada-Blanca”. “Zidane came at the age of 29, Mbappé will come at the age of 25. So he has many years left with us.”

Mbappé’s mega transfer to the Spanish capital was already expected last summer, when the striker was temporarily excluded from PSG training after he did not exercise his unilateral contract option for an extension until 2025 and subsequently confirmed this publicly.

Ultimately, Mbappé was pardoned by PSG and stayed. He scored eight goals in nine competitive games in 2023/2024.
