NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes is also the leader of the Kansas City Chiefs. In the Chiefs’ 27:19 win against the Houston Texans on Saturday, he contributed a touchdown and a successful pass into the end zone.
There was no sign of the ankle injury he suffered in the previous game. The Chiefs now have 14 wins from 15 games and have long since qualified for the playoffs
This also applies to the Texans, who have a significantly worse record with nine wins and now six defeats. Mahomes carried the ball himself into the end zone for the early lead, and later served receiver Xavier Worthy. Running back Kareem Hunt scored the third Chiefs touchdown.
The Chiefs could have a bye in the first round of the playoffs if they win the Conference AFC. Only the Buffalo Bills can challenge Mahomes’ team for this spot. The Bills, the Chiefs’ only defeater this season, play against the New England Patriots on Sunday (10:25 p.m.).
