The victory against FC St. Pauli could be expensive for Bayern. Because a new addition is injured shortly before the end – and could enlarge the problems of the Munich.
FC Bayern’s personnel worries in defense could continue to increase. Because after the injuries to goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, central defender Dayot Upamecano, full-back Alphonso Davies and the illness of Aleksandar Pavlović there is now a threat of another failure: Newcomer Hiroki ITō had to get off the field after only 30 minutes after only 30 minutes.
The Japanese came into the game for Raphaël Guerreiro in the 58th minute – and suddenly stayed on the lawn three minutes before the end of the regular season, took off his right foot and pulled out the shoe. The supervisors hurried, took care of the defender. A minute later, however, it was clear that it no longer goes on for ITō. After all, the Japanese was able to leave the field on his own.
Curious: After that, it got very narrow for Bayern, because the Munich team had to finish the game outnumbered. Coach Vincent Kompany had already changed five times. In fact, St. Pauli still scored the 2: 3 goal in added time, but it was not enough. Bayern unexpectedly won against the promoted. In the focus, however, only: the injury to ITō.
“He is of course totally disappointed,” said Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen after the game in the mixed zone. The defender has “something on the foot, but what, we can’t say that yet.” Company added: “It is difficult to say what he has. He will be examined now and then we’ll see further.” And: “This is not good for us.” The exact diagnosis will therefore be followed.
