Team manager Jürgen Klopp’s personnel worries at the troubled English top club Liverpool are getting worse.
According to media reports, full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold (ankle) and center-back Joel Matip (calf) suffered injuries in Sunday’s 2-3 league draw at Arsenal and will be out for around two weeks.
The two will definitely miss the duel in the Champions League on Wednesday (9 p.m. / DAZN) at Glasgow Rangers and the top game in the league on Sunday (5.30 p.m. / Sky) against defending champion Manchester City with high-flyer Erling Haaland.
Long forced break for Luis Diaz
It was already announced on Monday that Colombian striker Luis Diaz would be out until the end of the year with a knee injury. The 25-year-old had also suffered the injury in the defeat at the Gunners.
After eight games, the runners-up are tenth in the Premier League with just two wins. In the Champions League, Klopp’s team is second in Group A and on course for the round of 16.
