Status: 10/24/2022 8:41 p.m

The French newspaper Le Parisien has published alleged contract details of Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain – he is said to collect more than 600 million euros in three years. His club denied.

According to the daily Le Parisien, the new Mbappé contract, which has been in effect since summer 2022, is expected to bring in around 630 million euros gross over three years. The contract is “the largest ever signed in the history of the sport,” the report said.

Signature bonus: 180 million euros

The 23-year-old has a two-year contract with an option for a third year, reports Le Parisien, citing sources close to him. The annual salary is estimated at 72 million euros, plus a signing bonus of 180 million euros.

In addition, the contract includes a loyalty bonus of increasing amounts, around 90 million euros in the third year of the contract. Mbappé thus surpassed an earlier contract by his teammate Lionel Messi, who is said to have earned 555 million euros gross over four years at FC Barcelona (2017-2021).

According to the American magazine Forbes, the French national player’s sponsorship income from various partnerships amounts to around 18 million euros.

Mbappé does not comment, PSG denies

When asked by the AFP news agency, Mbappé’s side did not comment on the numbers.

Several media outlets quote a statement from the club, with PSG dismissing the report: “After a sensationalist media story about the club and one of its players published overnight, Paris Saint-Germain confirms that the story is completely false as not a single detail is correct.” The point in time was also surprising, according to PSG – immediately before an important game in the Champions League. Paris will play Maccabi Haifa in the group stage on Tuesday (October 25, 2022, 9 p.m.).

Decision in the summer against Madrid

Mbappé had extended his contract with the Parisian club, which is owned by Qatar Sports Investments, in May. He had previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
