News | Winery Anaia Wines

Where is the Bodega located and for what purpose do they carry it out?

Anaia is a project of Argentine capital, which was born under the idea of ”Domaine”, that is, the wines are made with grapes from the estate located in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, in the first wine-growing area of Mendoza and at an altitude of 960 meters above sea level.

This oasis is the concretion of an exceptional undertaking, applying concepts of sustainability and respect for the environment.

The Winery is designed and thought to offer a sensory and innovative experience to our visitors. It emerges from the ground, following the architectural style that simulates a tectonic folding from which the building emerges, inspired by the land and landscape of Mendoza, its mountain topography, the xerophytic flora of its hills, the texture and color of its ancient rocks.

In Anaia we have a capacity of up to 300,000 liters, being equipped with world-class technology and an absolutely innovative method, we make wines without stressing them at any time, using the new concrete Mates.

What services does Anaia offer its wine tourists?

We offer high-end wine tasting, contemplating the most imposing landscape of the Andes.

With unique forms of creative intervention and before an impressive profile of the mountain range, we open the doors of our brand new Wine Tourism Space, destined to receive, shelter and delight tourists and visitors, taking a step beyond traditional proposals and adding to the beauty of its landscape, video mapping and precision technology with advanced management systems, among other attractions, to find out all the details about the vineyard and its surroundings.

Anaia is designed to offer a sensory and novel experience to visitors who will find different spaces to enjoy wines, with interactions and playful activities while they taste and enjoy a unique and unforgettable day.

A peculiarity of the farm that surrounds the establishment are its vineyards, irregularly outlined, as if they were broken glass. This form responds to the logic of having selected each sector of the farm for the vines most suitable for that type of soil, following the concept of Terroir.

On the upper floor is the area for the wine lounge, consisting of a room with capacity for 30 people with a panoramic view of the Andes Mountains and a balcony overlooking the tank and barrel room. The Winery has a ramp access, friendly for people with mobility difficulties. On the ground floor, we have a private tasting room equipped with a sophisticated multimedia installation.

Given the need for establishments that offer accommodation within a winery that allows the development of group and integrative activities with wine as a catalyst for the proposed objectives, Anaia also has a guest house or Business Lodge which will be used for corporate tourism to hold annual board meetings; teambuilding; coaching and mentoring activities near the city of Mendoza.

What are your varieties of products?

The varieties grown are Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Tannat, Pinot Noir and Ancellota in reds, and Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier in whites.

For its part, the Anaia Line is identified by highlighting the maximum varietal expression of the vines in their terroir, since they are fermented and raised in concrete vessels without the intervention of wood, with the exception of Viognier.

The Gran Anaia Line is aged in large French oak vessels called foudres, after fermenting in concrete gourds.

The Escorado Line represents another of the passions of the creators of this project, which are nautical activities. These blends were created to enjoy moments with friends. Intense and passionate as the life of sailors. Dedicated to storm weatherers and shipboard adventurers.

In addition, they will be able to taste the Grand Assemblage Line. This wine highlights the elegance achieved by a surprising integration of oak and fruit, given that it consists of micro-fermentations in French oak barrels, with delicate and subtle tannins typical of Agrelo.
