★★ The trendy little movie on the platform is this blockbuster documentary that tells how a guy named Simon Leviev (well, his name is different, it doesn’t matter much) who, pretending to be a persecuted billionaire, is a bon vivant with very expensive tastes. Anyway, it all ends with the man asking the ladies (three in the matter) an important piece of tarasca, faking tremendous things. Problems? Hitchcock said that there were real life stories that could not be told because they sounded false in the cinema. This is the case: the “victims”, seen from a somewhat distanced point of view, never hesitate because they love luxury and unreality. And when you look at all the material (poorly arranged, without the slightest intention of creating an engaging narrative), the result is that he thinks these women are, to put it mildly, highly gullible. Basically, an artifact to brag about how cool the viewer is.
