News | The mysteries of Prague

In 1922 the so-called Greater Prague was created where surrounding urban areas, nearby towns, forests and factories became part of the city. The new districts were less glamorous than the center and brought specific forms of crime to the capital, which began to be investigated by the Prague State Police rather than the locals. The detectives, accustomed to cobblestone streets, took to the muddy paths between farms and country houses. This ten-episode Czech miniseries, starring Jaroslav Plesl, Jirí Langmajer and Denis Safarík, directed by Jaroslav Brabec, is inspired by real cases of the time and will be shown on Thursdays in July at 9:30 p.m. on Eurochannel.
