Saïda Maggé was unable to walk last night due to technical problems behind the scenes at the NOS during the broadcast of the Achuurjournaal. “This is something different.”
The Achuurjournaal now has a current presenter: he goes from here to here because it all looks a bit more dynamic. But yesterday they had put the presenter on duty, Mrs Saïda Maggé, behind some desk. What happened? Have they decided to take off their walking shoes again on the set?
No more walking
No, something completely different was going on. Saïda explains at the start of the broadcast that there was stress in the studio. “Good evening. Yes, it may look a bit different than you are used to and that is due to technical problems, but other than that it is just the Eight Hour News as you are used to from us.”
Apparently, the cameras could not be controlled correctly due to these technical problems, which required a static setting at which one camera could be pointed.

Just before the broadcast, Tina Nijkamp was still in the competing news section News of the Day, but she got home in time to watch the Achuurjournaal and was shocked. She is enthusiastic, though.
The TV authority writes down Instagram: “Technical problems with the Achuurjournaal. Presenter Saïda Maggé behind the desk instead of walking through the studio. Very fair? It looks a lot calmer without all the walking and also saves on stylist costs. 😂 Now only the top in the picture.”
