News of the Day, the right-wing TV news from SBS 6, disappoints with the new decor. According to TV authority Tina Nijkamp, a desk suits this program better than the new talk show table.
According to Tina Nijkamp, it is a complete mistake: the new setting of Nieuws van de Dag, the program in which her enemy Victor Vlam is involved. While Victor is very enthusiastic about the result, Tina thinks the new talk show table does not fit well at all with this type of program that is broadcast in the early evening.
Rush hour
There is a lot of tinkering going on at SBS 6, because after Shownieuws, the decor of News of the Day has also received a metamorphosis. Where the news program used to have a desk, it now has a talk show table.
Tina writes on her analysis channel: “Very strange, but I think a DESK is better suited for an early evening news section with mainly regular experts and a TABLE for late night shows. I think because of the MORE ACTIVE nature of a desk. Everyone is still busy, rush hour.”
A little spicier
News of the Day now radiates less urgency, Tina thinks. “The new Nieuws van de Dag studio now has a table. I think it takes some getting used to. I thought the previous decor was a bit spicier.”
In another program, Tina advocates a table instead of a desk. “RTL Tonight is sitting late night still with an ugly desk. 🙄”
